It’s the end of the line for the Pickleball League at Abbotsleigh School, Wahroonga.
After 3 years of continuously hosting leagues on Thursday night, there are no plans to offer leagues at Abbotsleigh in 2025. PANSW established the league at Abbotsleigh in early 2022 when pickleball was emerging in Sydney and the Abbotsleigh league offered one of the only opportunities for competitive play. With several clubs in Sydney now hosting weekly leagues, PANSW will focus on supporting more clubs to establish local leagues, facilitating tournaments and coordinate other competitions. I'm very appreciative to Donna Jay who established the league and to Rowan Klein for his innovative stewardship of the league since 2023. Thanks to the many players who have been a part of the league.
