A free open day for players was hosted by the Cumberland Pickleball Club (CPC) on Monday, October 5th at the newest Sydney pickleball venue - the Auburn Basketball Centre, Wyatt Park, Lidcombe.  The CPC has invested in launching pickleball at the centre with marking pickleball courts and purchasing plenty of nets, paddles and balls for new players.

The 4-hour Open Day session was attended by some 25 players, both experienced and new.  New players were briefed on the rules of pickleball then jumped into play with coaches and other players.  For experienced players, it was a day that brought together players from different venues around Sydney who do not often have the opportunity to play together.  A fun day of pickleball for a
