Another First for Pickleball in NSW - the Sydney Doubles!
Over the weekend of December 7 and 8, an inaugural Sydney Doubles Pickleball Tournament was held at the PCYC in Dee Why co-hosted by the PANSW and the Northern Beaches Pickleball Association.
More than 60 players registered for the tournament, ranging in age from 14 to . . . well, we’ll never tell. It was a great two days of pickleball fun and camaraderie with the competition demonstrating ever improving pickleball skill levels within Australia. It was pleasing to see some new players join the competition and do so well. The competitive spirit between members of different “clubs” added to the atmosphere and enjoyment.
We thank Jen and Sundar for coming all the way down from Queensland to keep us Sydney Siders challenged. Congratulations to Hans and Pam for bringing home the gold this time!
The social side of the weekend was enhanced with a dinner at The Thai Restaurant in Dee Why.
