Pickleball Association of NSW

Leagues

In pickleball we call a weekly organised competition a "league".

Playing in a league is a fantastic way to improve your pickleball with players of a similar level in a competitive but friendly environment. Many league players go on to enter in pickleball tournaments.

There are several and current upcoming leagues in NSW including our Sydney Inter-Club league.

Leagues are suitable for players with a wide range of skills from about a playing level of 2.5. Skills from this level include as a minimum

  • Ability to reliably serve and return a serve
  • Keep the ball in play consistently
  • Use of basic tactics and strategies
  • Knowledge of scoring.

Leagues are generally run by pickleball clubs or venues which may require membership to enter their league. Check with the organiser of a league to see what is required before joining.
