Initiatives (2024)

  • Investigate which roles at PANSW committee level do not up-to-date statements and ensure they are written and/or edited
  • Construct a plan to ensure they are always up-to-date
  • Develop a policy for PANSW succession planning
  • Make recommendations for club framework on succession planning
  • set-up procedure for monitoring succession e.g.
    • except in unexpected circumstances ensure that timeframes are placed on exiting position
    • identifying new leadership talent before the job becomes vacant
    • provide a learning process for prospective new executives to learn their job – more than handover
    • leadership training program which will prepare members for new roles at both PANSW and Club level when they are available and/or the member is ready to apply
    • possibly a mentoring system
  • suggestions for committee members to prepare their own succession plan

Financial implications: should be incorporated into PANSW budget
